Welcome to Covenant Day MIDDLE School!

Middle school is a time of significant physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual changes in our students. A student in middle school is becoming more independent and beginning to ask important questions such as, "Who am I?" "What is the purpose?" "What will my future look like?" "Is the faith of my parents also my faith?"

In the middle school at CDS, professionally trained teachers not only have a deep knowledge of their classroom subjects but also have a God-given love and passion for the students they teach. Our goal is to reach the heart and mind of every student whom God entrusts to us. We understand that the middle school student is unique, and we strive to meet the needs of all of our students, partnering with our parents through this transitional time between lower school and high school. We guide our students toward intellectual and spiritual maturity.

More specifically, we provide academic excellence with a biblical worldview, never sacrificing one for the other. We provide meaningful chapels, Bible classes, biblical integration in every subject, small-group devotions in homerooms, and a small student-teacher ratio in homerooms where our teachers serve as mentors.

Academically, we offer a rich, varied, and challenging curriculum including Bible, language arts, math, science, history, Spanish, Latin, physical education, art, drama, band, computer, and a variety of meaningful electives. Our math and language arts classes are designed to allow for smaller student-teacher ratios. Our math classes are structured with three levels of math per grade level. We also have a required sixth grade computer class and offer computer electives for grades seven and eight. For individual students with diagnosed learning differences, the school offers trained therapists. CDS is fully accredited by both SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) and CSI (Christian Schools International).

In order to encourage the development of life-long, healthy relationships, the middle school sponsors social events, community service events and projects, and numerous athletic teams on which students may participate.  We consider it a blessing and a calling to work with our students. We take our calling seriously, we enjoy the gifts God has given us, and we know that we are to strive continually for excellence, seeking to honor and glorify God in all that we do. We invite you to come and learn more about the middle school at Covenant Day School.
