TK & kindergarten
TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN
Transitional Kindergarten is an excellent choice for children who would benefit from an extra year before beginning kindergarten at Covenant Day School. Children are nurtured and loved in an environment where learning is both engaging and fun. The program is designed to enhance developmental skills important to kindergarten readiness, such as visual and auditory perception skills, language skills, and fine and gross motor skills. Special classes include music, library, and P.E. Our TK faculty create a safe atmosphere where early learning is developed in a positive and supportive manner.
KINDERGARTEN
Covenant Day Kindergarten is an exciting experience, filled with discoveries and wonders around every corner. Dedicated and loving faculty provide a quality program where each child is given optimal opportunities to explore the environment and develop individual talent and potential. Covenant Day provides a supportive atmosphere and skilled faculty to facilitate each child’s learning. A variety of enrichment classes such as music, American Sign Language, P.E., and library provide our students with experiences that give them a holistic view of God’s creation.
Covenant Day now offers two kindergarten options!
Kindergarten (K)
Kindergarten hours are 8:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Children eat lunch at school (provided by parents or purchased through our Lunch Program.) Our excellent original K program continues to include all academics, as well as the same special subjects such as library time, P.E., and music. Regular kindergarten tuition applies, with church member and multi-child discounts as applicable. Students have the option to come early for free play before school. This option will continue to be free of charge.
Students have the option to stay after school up to five days a week in C1 (Colossians 1), our bridge program that goes from the end of the kindergarten day at 12:45 to the end of the lower school day at 2:55 (2:30 p.m. on Wednesday). Click here for more information on C1!
The C1 tuition is on a pay-as-you-go basis. Parents do not have to commit to a certain number of days/week for the entire year. Drop-ins are welcome, space permitting.
- C1 offers convenience for parents who wish to leave TK or K students at school up to five afternoons a week until it is time to pick up their other students.
- After C1, children may then go to the After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) for quality care up until 6:00 pm.
Extended Kindergarten (EK)
EK hours are the same as lower school, 8:15 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. (2:30 p.m. on Wednesdays). EK is five days a week and tuition is the same as lower school tuition in grades 1-5, with church member and multi-child discounts as applicable. Students have the option to come early for free play before school. This option will continue to be free of charge.
